When your rose bushes are in full bloom, take advantage of their fragrant (and flavorful) blossoms by cooking them into something delicious. Everything's coming up roses in the kitchen!

Rose, Miniature, "Angel Wings"


Prep Time: 5 mins

Done in: 1 week

3 cups - rose petals washed and dried

4 cups - unseasoned rice wine vinegar

Step 1:

  • Add 3 cups of deeply colored red rose petals to 4 cups of hot unseasoned rice wine vinegar.

Step 2:

  • Pour into a non-metal container and steep out of direct light for a week.

Step 3:

  • Strain out the petals and rebottle in pretty bottles to use for fruit and citrus salads and to season chicken salad for sandwiches.
