CANDIED ROSE PETALS

Rose, Miniature, "Angel Wings"

Done in: 25 mins

3 cups - rose petals washed and dried

4 - egg whites

1 cup - fine granulated sugar

STEP 1:

  • Pick and prepare large perfect rose petals in an array of different colors.

STEP 2:

  • Beat several large egg whites just until they are slightly frothy.
  • Paint each petal completely on both sides with the egg white using a clean brush

STEP 3:

  • Using a tweezers, dip the petals on both sides into extra fine granulated sugar and dry on a waxed paper or parchment lined baking sheet.
  • When the petals are completely dry, store between sheets of waxed paper in an airtight container to use as needed.
