The Northwest Perennial Alliance Plant Sale, April 18th, will tempt you with thousands of plants from NPA members' gardens, the Bellevue Botanical Garden Perennial Border and 20 specialty vendors. Watch for "Buy Me for the Border" tags stuck on especially desirable plants singled out by designers Withey and Price. You're encouraged to donate one of these to the border-renovation project. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., North Seattle Community College. See or call 425-647-6004.

I always go to the Master Gardener sale at the CUH. I love them, a bunch of enthusiastic plant people that really want to help you. It is a ritual event in the household.
