If you want your own edible landscape use this guideline of when to start each crop.

Want to do some serious yard sharing?  Be the most successful mini farmer you can be and follow this time-table to plant your seeds.  Make sure that you start this just after the last frost!

 

seed-starting timetable

10-12 weeks: Leek, Onion, Thyme, Lavender, Oregano

8-10 weeks: Parsely, Celery, Chives, Salad Burnet, Fennel

  6-8 weeks: Pepper, Tomato, Eggplant, Kohlrabi, Cauliflower

4-6 weeks: Swiss Chard, Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Lettuce

  3-4 weeks: Watermelon, Squash, Muskmelon, Cucumber, Gourd
